Design: Verner Panton, 1960
Concept: The Panton Junior child seat is, as the name implies, a junior version of the Panton chair. It retains the original design by Verner Panton from 1960 but is approx. 25% less than the adult chair. Panton Junior has since 2008 been produced by Vitra in a mat finish that fits the adult version - the Panton chair. The highchair is available in several colors and is ideal for giving even more color and ingenuity to the children's room or as a modern addition to the living room. The Panton Junior child seat is suitable for outdoor use, but be aware that the UV radiation will cause the color to change over time. Therefore, we recommend that it be used limited in direct sunlight.
About the designer: "You sit better on a color that you like" - Verner Panton. The Danish designer Verner Panton (1926-1998), was a leading and significant part of Danish furniture design's absolute heyday. Panton had close relationships with both Arne Jacobsen, Hans J. Wegner and Poul Henningsen, whose expression and idiom, as is well known, are known and loved by people all over the world. Despite Verner Panton being part of Danish furniture design's important mid-century, his expression and design philosophy were far from the simple, his Danish and Scandinavian colleagues practiced. His expression was provocative, playful, futuristic but also full of personality. His passion for exploring the possibilities of unconventional material types and flashy colors was an essential part of the DNA of many of his sculptural works. Verner Panton's many iconic and playful expression are today still extremely popular in Danish as well as foreign homes. Here at AndLight you can find many other of Verner's original timeless lamp designs.
