Design: Hans Coray, 1938
Concept: The Landi chair saw the light of day in 1939, specially designed by Hans Coray for the Swiss national exhibition. The way the three-dimensional cast seat was attached to the frame after production was a groundbreaking technique. The 91 punched holes in the chair's seat gave a recognizable detail and have since acted as a trademark for the chair's appearance. Minimalist shapes and understated elegance are some of the elements that have made the Landi chair a classic over the years. The chair is light and stackable and in combination with its robust construction, it is an extremely functional chair full of classic elegance. Due to the anodizing of the aluminum, the chair is weatherproof and can therefore be used as an outdoor chair. Precisely this treatment emphasizes the technical innovation and optimal use of materials that make Landi so unique.
note: Due to its treatment and construction, the Landi chair can be used as an outdoor chair and stacked in a stack of up to 6 pcs.
