Design: John Astbury, 2022
Concept: The heavy side table from Danish &Tradition plays with beautiful contrasts through its organic shapes and oversized proportions. The eye-catching table was designed by the British designer John Astbury, who manages to convert the heavy elements into a light and elegant expression. The legs draw references to the towering ancient columns and with its shiny lacquered surface, the table manages to draw stylistic features from the modern interior at the same time. The side table is ideal to have standing next to the sofa or armchair, as an outlet for the afternoon cup of coffee, but can also be used as a bedside table or for an outlet in the entrance hall. The high-gloss surface plays nicely with the surroundings and thus fits in with both modern and classic interior design.
