Design: Masayuki Koitabashi for Motarasu
Concept: The Wood Works series from Motarasu is a series of images that at first glance look very simple. But when you learn the process behind each image, you understand how interesting these works of art are. In the manufacturing process, the talented Masayuki Koitabashi has used a traditional Japanese art form, using wooden blocks in color on which, almost like a stamp, is pressed on Japanese washi paper which is a special kind of paper, which is made of bamboo. An art form that requires concentration and focus as each Wood Works is made by hand.
