Nimi Malamata tarkoittaa "ylös ja alas" hepreaksi ja viittaa mahdollisuuteen säätää diffuusorin asentoa painamalla pallon yläosassa olevaa painiketta. Pohjassa on mattamusta tai harjattu messinkiviimeistely, joka luo mukavan kontrastin opaalivalkoiseen lampunvarjostimeen. Sarjaan kuuluu riipuksia ja seinävalaisimia, jotka on suunnitellut Shulab Studio, israelilainen designstudio, jonka perustivat Shuli Barzilai ja Lior Avrahami.
