Design: Pierre Paulin, 1975
Concept: The legendary French designer Pierre Paulin originally designed the Pacha armchair in 1975. He designed the chair in harmony with the changing style of the times and replaced the post-war ancestry with a new energetic approach. Paulin managed to give a real elegance to the rounded shapes of the armchair, by finding the perfect proportions and raising it slightly from the floor. In this way, he created a modern way of living and sitting on the floor, by avoiding chair legs. With comfort as the constant starting point in his designs, the curved, whimsical and incredibly organic shapes of the Pacha armchair are designed to provide enormous comfort and spread coziness in the home. This idea of comfort and well-being has been fully maintained by GUBI in their updated version of this famous classic. The Pacha armchair is an honest and functional piece of aesthetic pleasure that brings life and character to any interior.
Pacha Outdoor is a development of the iconic Pacha armchair and is here designed in a weather-resistant version, ideal for use in the garden or on the terrace. Pacha Outdoor has a specially developed membrane layer that is both water-repellent and breathable to ensure quick drying after exposure to rain. The full swivel base is made from a moisture-resistant material to provide increased protection in humid conditions. In order to be able to sit in the chair, precisely when the rain is over, a cover can be purchased that can be easily pulled over after use and taken off when the rain has stopped again. The cover provides additional protection against the elements and will help keep the chair clean and inviting, so you can enjoy the outdoor area as much as possible.
