Design: Philippe Starck for Flos

Concept:
The Flos Lounge Gun floor lamp was designed in 2005 by Philippe Starck and was a part of the spectacular Lounge Gun series. The frame is based on the design of an AK47, which is the number one used weapon in war. Philippe Starck uses the lamp as a political statement to communicate that weapons don’t create war – people do. For the same reason, 20% of the sale of these lamps goes to Frere d’Homme that afterwards donates the money for charities with focus on living conditions for children. The lamp is available in 18 carat gold and chrome, both with black lampshade.
